Art Sale Follow Up

Well after this Saturday, I've decided to keep going to art exhibitions to display my stuff. As long as I can get my name out there, I enjoy it. I ordered cards from VistaPrint and I was really happy that people grabbed them to use for later.

Here's the almost complete collecton- minus the ones that I was able to sell.

Someone at the sale commented that these long ones looked like corn- I thought it was a great observation! Cute... ;)

These earrings I refer to as the 'white diamonds' - makes them sound elegant!

I love the look of these beads, they have that color changing pearlized look. Pretty.

Some inspired by Brewers colors kind of? I just love the edging- easy and a nice finished look to them.

These earrings were created for and donated to American Indian students at UW-Madison for the American Indian Welcome Reception 2011-2012. I have no idea who won them, or if they liked them.

These are the only earrings that sold that I have a picture of. I think they are so cute- I was about to keep them myself if they didn't sell! Looks like I'll be making more...

Keep On Keeping On

Three almost complete sets and one earring later- It's Tuesday September 6 and I'm about to bust out the beads to keep on keeping on. I am having a lot of fun, and I was given the suggestion to try different shapes. I'll see what I can pull off- Here's the latest:

I made this earring on the way to Maryland this past Friday. I love the red and blue together- really pops!

I've already posted the bottom two in this picture, but the middle ones were only half way at that point. I made the pink ones during my day off Thursday.

I'll keep updating and posting as the creations keep coming.

Earrings Mode

I recently was given the opportunity to take part in an Art Show/Sale where I plan to have my beadwork. I am cranking out earrings and possibly keychains or attaching applique to some wristlets or purses. We'll see! Here's the flyer:

And here is the barrette I just completed to go with the headband.

There are also earrings completed, which I don't have a picture of quite yet. I also have to start the choker, drop, and hairties. I'll sell it as soon as I can finish it. I'm thinking for around $150, but may need to change price based on interests. Anyway, just wanted to share.

Some of my Beadwork

These are some really quick projects I made one night for a welcome event raffle for the Native students on campus. Maybe I should have put more time into the keychain!

This is that Sculpey dough you can bake in your oven. I made these crafty little things for my sisters in Madison. Alpha Pi Omega is a Native American sorority, and we've been on UW-Madison campus since 2001. :)

Christmas time means craft time. I thought it would be soo much fun to make a gingerbread village. These were the first two houses I completed, for the last three I was majorly DONE with gingerbread, frosting, and candy!

Here is a picture of the first (and only so far) jingle dress I ever made. It was for my boyfriend's niece, and I think she already grew out of it. So maybe dress number two is on it's way?

This is a double sided medallion I made for a friend. He wanted a bear paw and a thunderbird. I don't know if it's tough enough for him... he's in the Army!

The third pair of earrings I made. I wore them myself until my boyfriend's Aunt really wanted them and kept asking about them- so of course I gave them to her!

This is a headband I completed as part of a set. I have yet to finish the hairties and the choker with drop. So much work left, and not enough of the colors I need. Anyway, this was my first real project.

I am very fond of beading graduation caps. This was my boyfriend's cousin's cap for her high school graduation. I used a peyote stitch for his cap- and quickly learned my lesson... okay maybe slowly... :) Here I used a lazy stitch- it came out pretty nice considering I always wait last minute. Procrastinator? Yeah.

These are the second pair of earrings I made, and they were for my good friend to celebrate her college graduation. I saw her wear them once, and I was so happy! A little rough, but I'm learning...

I just thought it'd be nice to post some of the things I've worked on in the past. I am currently working on some projects and I feel like I really need to be inspired. Feel free to comment, question, etc.
